My Brother’s Keeper of Greater Richmond Selects New Executive Director

Richmond, VA – Nathaniel Womack, Jr. has been elected the new executive director and president of My Brother’s Keeper of Greater Richmond.
Mr. Womack, who had served on the board of the men’s mentoring non-profit for the past seven years, takes the helm following the death of MBK founder and executive director Stephan “Coach” Hicks, who passed away last September.
“In Coach, I found not just a brother but a friend,” Mr. Womack said. “I’m honored to carry on the legacy of my friend.”
“Fatherhood is not a destination. It’s an ongoing journey that lasts a lifetime and requires constant adjustments.”
Mr. Womack envisions MBK having its own building that will include classrooms, counseling, living quarters, social workers, and a full-time staff “to provide all the resources that men need to adjust to society after incarceration and to reunite fathers with their families.”
